
Florida palmetto is Florida’s state tree. It occurs near the Gulf and Atlantic coasta to the Florida Keys. It is also known as the Cabbage palm and it is on Florida’s great seal. Florida palmetto is native to Sunshine State and widely used in cultivation as a specimen, street tree, framing tree or in groupings. Because of its high salt resistant it is perfect for seaside locations.
Florida palmetto has a rough, fibrous trunk and palmate curved leaves.
